About Richard Carey

I am a Washington-licensed attorney with a background in both law and technology.

Before entering the legal profession, I spent more than two decades working in software development, systems architecture, cloud infrastructure, and technology leadership roles. My academic background includes degrees in Computer Science and Psychology, and my professional experience spans software engineering, business operations, cybersecurity, and technology management.

This combination of legal and technical experience allows me to bridge the gap between lawyers, business owners, and technical teams. I understand the realities of building products, managing development projects, negotiating commercial relationships, and protecting intellectual property because I’ve worked on those challenges firsthand.
